Samsung Galaxy XCover 3, first images and unofficial details
Galaxy XCover 3, the representative of the third generation of mobile devices Samsung, intended for outdoor sports practitioners, offers a completely renewed design, promising to offer a good substitute for the model XCover 2 since two years ago.
Known, for the moment, by the code name SM-G388F, the new XCover is recommended for its weather-resistant casing and good autonomy, the rest of the configuration being at a rather entry-level level. Therefore, the terminal equipped with a 4.8" display, supporting a resolution of 480×800, is powered by a chipset Marvell Navy PXA1908 (Quad-core CPU with Cortex-A53 cores), helped with only 1GB of RAM memory. The main camera offers a resolution of 5 MP and is arbitrated by a front camera with a resolution of 2 MP. The collection of media files it is stored in the 8 GB of internal memory, with a high probability of being expandable.
On the back of the case, which is made of hard plastic, displaying an exterior inspired by the current model Galaxy S5 Active, we find an oversized external speaker and a blitz LED which can fulfill the role of a flashlight. The prominently shaped side buttons can be operated even with gloves, and the anti-slip texture applied to the back cover should provide enough grip for safe handling with wet hands or gloves.
The new Samsung Galaxy XCover 3 phone will ship with the release Android 4.4.4. Without an official announcement from the manufacturer, the release date and purchase price are not yet known.
