In 2015, Samsung is likely to launch smartphones with Windows Phone
Samsung is an important player on the market -based devices market Android, although it has the role of main producer of smartphone-hate. The South Korean company seems to consider launching new devices with support Windows Phone, although it will not take this step before solving a dispute with Microsoft initiated by the famous annerican company last year.
According to rumors that occurred lately, Samsung internally tests the stability of the operating system Windows Phone 8.1 on COBAI and is interested in launching terminals in the Microsoft version. Unfortunately, at this moment this is impossible because the Korean company refuses to pay the taxes for Microsoft patents. According to Samsung, Microsoft has become a direct competitor since he purchased Nokia, and this fact invalidates the contract signed in 2011 for licensing the Windows Phone software. If Microsoft gives up this process, Samsung with Windows Phone could receive the green wave. It seems that this will be possible as soon as the new smartphones could be delivered to the stores towards the end of this year.
However, we do not know if these new Samsung terminals with Windows Phone 8.1 will be rebranding variants of Android terminals already launched or completely new devices and do not know which market segment will be addressed. Lately, Windows Phone sales have dropped worldwide, and in the past only two devices have managed to bring significant sales on this platform.
