Certificate Error – Solving the problem when installing Themes, Games and applications

Certificate Error is a problem that bothers many owners Mobile Phones, especially those who have NOKIA. error appears when we want to we install themes, Games or Applications on mobile phones with Java or Symbian.

Error resolution – Certificate Error (Especially valid for phones NOKIA E Series)

1. Go in The menu -> Applications Manager

2. Press on Options

3. Press on Settings

4. Set for Software installation be All.

5. “Online certificate check” to be set Off.

After making these changes, homework and the games will be installed without errors. This method was tested on NOKIA E63 and it gave results.

  3. Remarks.
    1. The short tutorial refers to the installation of native Symbian applications.
    But even with these settings, it will not be possible to install, for example, an application created based on a dev. cert or even a certain Publisher ID (specific to Symbian application producers certified and approved by the Symbian Foundation), if that application was generated for a certain IMEI.
    All kinds of "unsigned" applications circulate on the net (cracking is illegal!) and in order for them to be installed on a mobile phone they must be signed (online or offline) by the Symbian Foundation.
    Without the signature, no application will ever be able to be installed, even with the settings presented on this page.
    Example: our FSpy TRace application will never be able to be installed on a phone other than the one based on the IMEI that was generated, even if the above settings are activated. Our technology also allows the application to be moved from one phone to another, after the correct uninstallation.

    If there are requests for a tutorial on signing a Symbian application in the absence of a dev. sure (developer certificate) or a Publisher ID, we are at your disposal.

    2. Not always installing an application signed with a dev. it is definitely safe for your phone. In the desire to install a "free" application (crack, to be exact) you expose your phone and your budget to a substantial risk.

    I also have a small problem with an E71, I downloaded some applications and themes from the Ovi Store, and at one point it could not install anything, whatever I tried, the message "installation failed" appeared, after the download was ready . I recently removed the card and then I couldn't find the application (Skype) and now I can't get it from the website (Ovi) or install one because of the certificate. and when I try to install the application, it asks me if I want to replace it with the version I already have. The problem is that I can't find skype at all! Not even in the installed files, anywhere .. Can someone help me???

    Search the internet for the phone reset code (The code from the hidden menu), save all the data on the card and everything you have on the phone on the external memory and then enter the code.... it will take a few seconds until the phone resets... then everything is like new... and you will be able to reinstall anything... at least in my case it worked. Good luck.
