ASUS announced ZenFone 2, the first smartphone with 4 GB of RAM

One of the most interesting smartphones presented at the CES 2015 fair, which is taking place these days in Las Vegas, is the Asus ZenFone 2, which is the first smartphone on the market that also offers a variant with 4 GB of RAM memory. The terminal offers an elegant design and very attractive hardware specifications, which includes an impressive photo sensor, capable of capturing high quality images in low light conditions.

Asus ZenFone 2 is available in two variants, one with 2 GB RAM and Intel Atom Z3560 processor with a frequency of 1.8 GHZ, and one with 4 GB RAM and a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor with a frequency of 2.3 GHz. Both models have a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with very thin edges (screen-to-body percentage is 72%) and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, PowerVR G6430 GPU, internal storage space up to 64 GB (depending on version, it can be 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB) expandable via microSD, 3000 mAh battery with fast charging technology and support for LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS connectivity.

The smartphone has a 13 MP main camera with 5 lenses, f/2.0 aperture and Real Tone dual-color flash and a 5 MP front camera with wide angle lens, both equipped with Pixel Master technology that allows capturing images up to 400% brighter in low-light conditions. According to a comparative test between the ZenFone 2 camera and those of the flagships HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the quality of the photos taken with the terminal launched by Asus is clearly superior.

ZenFone 2 runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system on which the ZenUI interface is superimposed and is available in white, black, gray, red and gold color variants. The device will hit the market in March and will be available at prices starting at $199 (for the version with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space).
